The short version
The Spawnkit daemon runs on your computer. Your code, terminals, transcripts and Claude login stay there. We only receive data when you create an account or use an org.
The local app
- Spawnkit stores its data in
~/.spawnkiton your machine, readable only by your user. - It does not read your Claude credentials. The Claude Code CLI handles your login.
- Claude Code sessions talk to Anthropic as they would without Spawnkit. Anthropic’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that traffic.
Accounts and orgs
If you create an account or join an org, Spawnkit’s servers hold:
- your email address and sign-in details,
- which orgs you belong to and your role in them,
- shared workspace definitions, skills and repo links your org creates,
- secrets for MCP servers your org hosts on Spawnkit, which are used only by those servers,
- a log of calls to those hosted MCP servers, visible to your org,
- tool-call records from the org’s workspaces, only if the org turns on its audit log.
